Kira + Ethan

Last summer Southern Colorado had some devastating fires- one of which was in La Veta where Ethan’s Family owns Wacharas Ranch and where they planned to host a fabulous wedding weekend with all of their family and friends. It was touch and go up until days before the wedding. Kira was even asking all around about alternate venues. Luckily the fires didn’t make it to the ranch and they were able to have the wedding of everyones dreams. The day started with all hands on deck setting up the ceremony site and reception barn. There were people everywhere lending a had to make the day happen seamlessly and beautifully. The first look Happened in the over 100 year old school house that sits on the property. The ceremony happened on the side yard of the house under a giant tree and the Spanish Peaks close enough to almost touch. Ethan’s Sister Jessica officiated and Ethan’s band InDueTime played lots of music. A tequila toast happened and dogs were running around everywhere. It was a pretty magical to say the least. After the ceremony, the guests went on a scavenger hunt on the ranch and played yard games with nothing but sky surrounding them. The reception held heartfelt toasts, the story of the fire, and lots and lots of dancing. That night I camped out like many of the guests and saw stars as far as the eye could see. This was one for the books and I feel so honored to have been asked to document it. Here are a few of my favorites from their day. And yes, I edited it down. twice.
