What do I think of couples or engagement photos? I like to think of the wedding as the cherry on top, but the time, the intention, and the love that went into getting you there deserve to be documented, too! This could be as simple as taking cuddly photos in your first house together or as adventurous as bringing me along to the scenic place where you got engaged. I just suggest that couples think of a spot that deeply resonates with them at this moment, in the “before time.” I even include an engagement session when choose to have me photograph your wedding! I do this not only because these engagement photos will be so special to look back on one day, but also because this session will give us a chance to get to know each other, so you don’t feel like you’re being photographed by a total stranger on your big day.
But you don’t need to be planning a wedding to justify taking photos of you and your person. Who you share your life with is such a big part of your story, and it deserves to be documented in the most beautiful way. The building of a relationship should be remembered and celebrated, too. Photography is a thoughtful way to preserve the time and space you have created with each other. So let’s get together for a couples photography session!
